Remember our tiny little tree kale?
We planted it last September and watched in horror as it failed to thrive thanks to some very attentive caterpillars. Then it rested over the winter and, as the rains have returned to Sonoma county, our kale has begun to grow and grow and grow:
Can you imagine this plant growing to over ten feet tall?! That’s a whole lot of kale goodness to come. I do believe we have some kale chips to make.
Wow! That is gorgeous!!
Yay!
Rain will always help!
Wait a minute – I thought you were being cute last year, calling it a ‘tree kale’. You mean it really grows 10′ tall?!!! I want one of those. What a great vertical gardening solution!
I live here in Sonoma co. Where did you get your start? I would love to get one.
Joanne
Joanne: a friend gave us the start, but I’ve heard rumors that Harmony Farm Supply (http://www.harmonyfarm.com/) is selling tree kale starts! Perhaps call them first before heading over to see if they have any left. Good luck!
