For the first time since November, David and I returned to our Saturday morning routine of outdoor activities and errands. We made a quick trip to Whole Foods for beverages and cash, then grabbed breakfast at the Farmer’s Market before we went for a walk in the park, and finally headed to our beloved Sebastopol for a homemade treat from Screamin’ Mimi’s and a trip to the herb store for some postpartum tea ingredients. In the afternoon we organized and cleaned around the house. Now we’re having computer time.
While David’s been working from home for over a month now, I feel like this was one of the first days in a while where we’ve spent the whole day not just in close proximity to each other, but completely with each other — doing activities side by side, talking nonstop, being truly together. We both had such a good time and I think we really needed it. I feel recharged, relaxed, refreshed, and happy. And who knows when we’ll have another opportunity to spend the day just the two of us?! Of course, I feel giddy about the fact that soon we’ll be incorporating the baby into our weekend, family-together-time routines.

sounds like a wonderful day! I need to spend more time outdoors, but its just so cold!
I don’t blame you for wanting to be cozy inside! Every time I see your snowy photos, I feel thankful David and I live in California. ;)
