Is it really September already?

Where have we been the past month?

We’ve been chasing after our little crawler, who zooms around the house, climbing and tasting everything in sight.

We’ve flown to the East Coast and back again, visiting family, and took a trip to the jersey shore.

We’ve all had colds and mama threw her neck out. Now that was fun. I’m much better now.

We’ve hung out with friends, hosted a mini-Lawrenceville reunion and several play dates, and started attending baby storytime at the library.

We’ve baked bread and cooked up all sorts of local, delicious fruits and vegetables.

We’ve had lots of family time and very little internet time.

  1. I wish I’d known you were in the area! I’m here with Chris Chin in NYC and my folks are on the Jersey Shore–we would have loved to come down and meet David and Miss Leyba. Maybe next time?

  2. Geoff: Thanks! :)

Alexis: Yes, next time! It was a really jammed packed trip with visits from grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, and of course my parents and sister, so we didn’t have time to see many friends. By day three Miss Leyba started crying anytime she met anyone new! Poor babe. I guess it was overwhelming. Hopefully our next visit will be longer and we’ll get to fit more friends in. We’d LOVE to see you!

  3. Aww, poor munchkin! Well, please let Miss Leyba know that the next time she’s in town, her (*swank voice*) New York City contacts (/swank voice) would be thoroughly delighted to see her if she’s feeling like having company. =) (That is to say, picture me dashing up to her stroller in jeans in a T-shirt bearing an armful of children’s books–because I just can’t help showering babies with them–and aiming a kiss right at those fantastic cheeks of hers!) She just gets cuter and cuter. And cuter!
