These past few weeks have been full of joyous holiday celebrations. We hosted our entire street for a wine and cheese holiday party. We celebrated with friends and cooked scores of latkes for several Hannukah parties (and celebrated at our house each night too). Of course, we were living so in the moment and having such fun that we forgot to take pictures. Very typical, Spritzer Leyba behavior. Sorry about that.
The daily rituals have been fun this year and Miss Leyba has absorbed and embraced them so quickly. Each day, Miss Leyba would repeat “Sun go down, light the menorah!” or “Sun go down, see holiday lights!” or “Sun go down, open presents! Sun, go down! Go down! Open presents!” She has been most enthusiastic.
Yesterday, as we cuddled and celebrated at home while nursing colds, we finally had a quiet moment for Mama to remember to take photos. So, here you go. Our Christmas celebration.
Happy holidays, everyone! May you stay warm in this time of darkness and look forward to the light!
And, yes, David is wearing shorts and sandals. It’s lovely here in California. :)
haha, i was just about to comment on the fact that david was wearing shorts, while we had 2 feet of snow…!
i need to start celebrating hanukkah just for the latkes, i think :-)
I was just thinking that when I saw the pictures–we were shoveling the driveway while David was in shorts! Hope you all had a great holiday season.
Love the sunny pictures! Happy holidays to you three! :)
