All those books really pile up.
Some recent reads…
David has been rereading the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin (that HBO recently adapted as the Game of Thrones) in anticipation of this week’s release of A Dance With Dragons.
I recently reread the Dragonriders of Pern series in chronological order, continue to plow through nonfiction books like Nurtureshock (in the same vein of amazing as Punished By Rewards), and remain a magazine junkie (favs include Country Living, Sunset and Living Crafts).
Our daughter has been reading her way through the Biscuit series on her own, and devouring any Henry and Mudge books that we read to her.
I doubt you find it surprising that we max out our library cards each week.
What can I say? We love to read.
I <3 my library card! So wonderful to come visit you and have Miss Leyba bring me a stack of BOOKS she'd like to read together (rather than the usual toddler handful of plastic toys). Can't wait to see a video of her reading independently. ;-) Hint, hint!
Yes! And remember when you first met Miss Leyba at a LIBRARY! Couldn’t have been more perfect than that.
I’m working on a video. It’s turning out to be WAY more challenging that I anticipated… but hopefully I will have one to put online soon.
ooooh i JUST started the George RR Martin books (AFTER watching GoT, unfortunately – i was determined to read the book first, but a certain boyfriend hogged the book for several weeks and then instantly bought HBO to watch the series as soon as HE was done. harumph).
That’s too funny. Ah, the challenges of two people reading the same series at the same time. We face that one frequently at our own house.
I feel like there are worse vices to have than books. :)
Does Miss L have her own library card yet? I’m pretty sure I had one when I was her age (my signature was … a little wobbly still) and maxed it out pretty regularly!
Very true! She does have her own library card! We got one for her when she was around 6 months old and able to turn the pages by herself. :)
