Mud Pies
At least someone is happy about the gopher that has moved into the neighborhood. She now has fresh piles of dirt to play with every day thanks to its tunneling.

Hooray for parents who let their kids play in the mud! =) My best pal and I used to love making “stew” from mud, pine needles, and smushed apples from the apple tree out front. We were witches stirring brew, or scientists with a secret experiment, or workers building a mud wall that would save the town from a flood! That old thing called “imagination”? Totally worth the loads of muddy laundry at the end of the day.
