  1. Those are awesome baby factoids. I absolutely love how strong and healthy she is. And just so you know, she’s giggling because she totally knows she’s the best. I’m sure of it. Look at that little knowing half-smile. You go, Miss Leyba!

  2. I remember kissing my girl so much in those days! She still loves the love too — we share many, many ‘I love yous’ even in the most difficult moments!

  3. Alexis: Thank you!!! She really is a remarkable girl. David and I feel so blessed.

Sara: I love it! I think it’s so important to have daily ‘I love yous’ and I like your reminder about saying it during difficult moments when it is important to be reminded about the love. David and I both grew up in houses with lots of ‘I love yous’ and we both still end every phone conversation with our parents with ‘I love you.’ I think it enriches our lives knowing how much we are cherished and we want to pass that on to our daughter.

When Miss Leyba arrived David and I had to stop shouting ‘I love you’ across the house when she was sleeping. I had never noticed just how often we said it until then. :)
