This weekend I slept in (three days in a row!),
Shopped for thank you and baby shower gifts,
Read in bed and on the couch and in the car,
Drank iced strawberry tea at the Tea Spot,
Indulged in several tasty IZZE cocktails,
Walked around all of downtown Boulder,
Watched episodes of “Sex and the City,”
Played frisbee golf (on a real course!),
Got somewhat caught up with email,
Ran along the Boulder Creek Trail,
Ate delicious sushi (twice!),
Visited family and friends,
Spent time with my husband,
Rested, recharged, and found myself again.
All in all, it was a lovely and very needed break from the Spritzer Leyba every day craziness. Of course, I am still counting down to our honeymoon…
How did you spend your long weekend?
I ran 3 miles, biked 20 miles, read “Arc of Justice,” saw friends, and listened to NPR’s “Le Show.”
I spent a day with Sepideh in her new apt. near Baltimore, had a half-day layover in Chicago where most of the restaurants were closed due to Labor Day (but I did manage to get breakfast eventually), and spent the rest of the time on the train. I’m back in CO now.
I had a friend in town, so Friday night was cleaning and tidying for company, Saturday was getting up early to meet him after his red-eye flight, then visit monuments, a couple museums, and the National Archives while Shaun was busy with renovation projects at a house. Sunday was spent reading the paper, going to the gym and downtime (while our guest visited with other friends) because Shaun wasn’t feeling well. Monday we went to a baseball game in the afternoon and grilled shih kabobs for dinner!
Broken Flowers, a new (to me) South Indian restaurant, Tyler’s latest opening, a leisurely walk up the Olentangy River bike trail, some surprisingly easy shopping, and lots of time taking naps.
