Our Annual Visit

I’ve known my friend Natalia for over 20 years and, since we moved to the Bay Area, she has come and visited us every year:

In the 2007 photo, above, I am thirty-three weeks pregnant with Miss Leyba!

My daughter and Natalia meeting each other for the first time, above.

Last year walking the streets of San Francisco.

Our whole family looks forward to and greatly enjoys our time together.

We may see each other just once a year, yet I consider Natalia to be one of my dearest friends. Each year, we take off right where we left off and become closer in the short time we spend together. A true friend.

Natalia, we’re looking forward to next year!

2010 Visitors

We take a break from our postcard series (that I hope you’re enjoying!), to share with you our annual trip down memory lane in which we share photos of our friends and family who came to see us in California this year.

This year friends visited us from Oregon, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. Here are photos from (hopefully) all of their visits! (Please email me if I missed you!)

Thank you all for coming to see us! We enjoyed each and every one of your visits!

Remembering Great-Grandma

David’s grandmother passed away on Friday in New Mexico. In the midst of our sadness, we’re focusing on cherishing our memories of her and celebrating her long life.

She was a classy, creative, kind, smart, funny, amazing woman.

Mamas Night Out

I love hanging with my friends. Now that our kids are getting older, we can finally prioritize spending time away from our families. After the kids are asleep we meet up to craft together, enjoy good food, strong drinks and first-rate conversation. We laugh, we share, we cry (tears of laughter and sorrow), we unwind and relax. It’s precious and I dearly treasure every minute spent with these gals.

Here’s a glimpse from last weeks adventures together.
